To prevent POP3 clients from downloading all old messages in the IMAP/Webmail INBOX (messages they already downloaded from the old POP3 server), the contents of the INBOX at the time of the merger were moved to "old_inbox". All the messags are there. You can view then using any IMAP capable client, such as Webmail.
You can, if you choose, move the contents of "old_inbox" back to "INBOX". But, if you do the messages will appear as new messages to POP3 clients. If the POP3 client is configured to delete old email from the server, it will not only download the messags, but delete the old messages from the IMAP/Webmail inbox. We recomend that you use only POP3 or IMAP to access the INBOX, not both.
Note, some IMAP clients may require you refresh the folder list in order to see the "old_inbox". Eudora, for example, has this problem. Other clients, such as those on PDAs, may require you configure a new mailbox to view the "old_inbox" folder.
