CodeMiner CVSManager presents a rich set of reports that assist in project management. The Project Summary and the Module Growth are graphical versions of the repository activity on the basis of user and modules in the repository. The recent change log gives the summary of activities done in the project in the last few hours.
Browse Projects
The project can be browsed by clicking the modules shown in the directory growth graph. The effective recent changes in the repository can be identified with the Recent ChangeLog feature in the page.
The file history with various criteria of file change attributes can be viewed such as annotate, option to view with file constraint etc.,
Reports
CodeMiner CVSManager helps to generate reports on Branch Activity and Year Summary of projects that are grouped together by means of intuitive bar graphs. These summary reports will be helpful during the parallel development of a project. The Yearwise reports will project the overall project development over a period of years and the graphs are generated based on lines of code and the number of commits in the project.
It also helps to generate reports based on the file tags. The tags are the important references of the project, which are used to reproduce the project at any instance.
The graphical representation of top 5 users in a project will help to understand the number of commits done to a project in different time frame.
Tools
Tools are the efficient way to perform activities to the repository. We have included the "Branch Creation Tool" as part of CVS Manager, which will be useful during every Life Cycle of the project/product. The priority to release Service Pack after the project/product release is inevitable to any organization. The Service Pack is the option to give customer the necessary fixes of the changed fileset over the release. The servicepack trunk may be different from the MAIN trunk in most of the cases to seggregate the changes and to consolidate the fixes at any later stages of the release.
To facilitate the creation of branches for the servicepack release we have included the tool "Branch Creation Tool" through which the administration can be performed easily on activating/deactivataing the branches can be done
