Calendar in Outlook 2003/2007

To open the calendar in Outlook 2003/2007, do the following:

  1. Open Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007.
  2. Click Calendar on the side of the window, or click Go > Calendar.

Set Up a Standard Workday

To set up a standard workday in Outlook 2003/2007, do the following:

  1. Within the calendar, click Tools > Options....
  2. Click Calendar Options....
  3. Within the area labeled Calendar work week, locate the start time and end time.
  4. Change the start time and end time to reflect your standard workday.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK again.

The background colors on your calendar change to reflect your standard workday.

The setting for your standard workday is stored by your local copy of Outlook. In other words, when you view your calendar in Outlook Web Access (OWA) or Entourage, it will display the default workday (8am to 5pm) instead of the workday you set up in Outlook. If you want your standard workday to appear in OWA or Entourage, you will have to set it up like you did in Outlook.
